The Indigenous Cultural Communities and Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) of Ilocos Sur will once again come together for the annual Begnas di Ilocos Sur Festival on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Namunganayan Festival Site in Uso, Suyo, Ilocos Sur.

With the theme “Kultura ya wayawaya entaku sikadan ya ayyewan, balligi entaku mananam” (Our culture is our freedom to preserve, our victory to sustain), this year’s celebration aims to honor and promote the rich traditions, customs, and heritage of the province’s indigenous peoples.

The festival will feature traditional rituals, songs, and dances through the Cultural Presentation of twenty-three (23) ICCs/IP groups from across the province. A major highlight of the event will be the Pammadayew Sintatako, a segment recognizing exemplary indigenous practices in conflict resolution and community unity.

The Begnas di Ilocos Sur serves as a vibrant reminder of the enduring cultural identity of the IP communities and their invaluable contribution to the province’s diverse cultural landscape.
